The “Legion of Mary” is a worldwide organization founded in Ireland in 1921. The object of the Legion is the glory of God through the sanctification of its members by prayer and spiritual works, such as:
Joining The Prayer Line
Placing free Catholic literature in the church vestibule
Eucharistic Minister
Offering a Medal or Holy Card
Standing with Right to Life
Participate in Rosary Rally
Calling Auxiliary Members who pray at home, unable to meet
Some Men's Club or Alter Rosary duties.
Prayer is a way to increase your spiritual life. Praying the Rosary weekly with Active Members forms a sisterhood/brotherhood with Legionaries from another Parish in Springfield. Legionaries who are officers and attend a monthly Comitium Meeting join other cities in our Diocese. You may include a visiting member from a Legion in the Philippines.

We currently gather in Parish Library.
Anyone is welcome at LOM. Tessera Opening Prayers and Holy Rosary begin at 9:00 A.M. You will be given a Tessera pamphlet to follow. As you learn about Blessed Mother and after attending Legion meetings for about 3 months, you are invited to read a promise and accepted as a full-time member.
Masks required when Parish requires. Don’t forget to ask about Mary’s 15 Promises for saying a Rosary daily.
